I think it's pretty clear from the picture, but these did not begin their lives as earrings. I think they were originally bangles, actually. I know I bought them from the Milnerton market, with the sole purpose of turning them into earrings. I think they work quite well. My sister says they look like bridesmaids' dresses: they are baggy, shapeless and dusky pink, which means as dresses they would look terrible on anyone, pretty much the definition of a bridesmaid's dress. But they work pretty darned well as earrings.
